Water Ambulance Project.

Water Ambulance Project was a programme of Socio Economic Development Alliance-SEDA. SEDA has implemented various project to promote socio-economic development and improve the quality of life for disadvantaged communities through innovative projects and initiatives like Meeting Women’s Legal Right in Bangladesh and Training Program since 2011. In 2022, SEDA implemented Water Ambulance Project is a prime example of our commitment to this mission.

The Socio EconomicDevelopment Alliance (SEDA) launched the Water Ambulance Project in the Gabura Union Shyamnagar Upozilla, situated in Satkhira District of Bangladesh. Gabura, a remote area in Bangladesh within the Sundarbans mangrove forest, faces challenges due to isolation and limited transportation infrastructure.

To address this, SEDA thought to avail a specialized boats equipped with medical facilities and staffed by professionals provide water-based emergency medical services, improving healthcare accessibility for pregnant women and those in need. The project has reduced complications and improved health outcomes. SEDA’s initiative demonstrates commitment to marginalized areas and showcases the power of innovation and compassion in overcoming adversity and ensuring equitable access to healthcare.
