Socio Economic Development Alliance (SEDA), a not-for-profit registered charity organization, was established with the vision to help create a poverty-free, self-sustaining Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is prone to yearly natural disasters such as floods, tidal surges, cyclones, and river erosion. These calamities result in the loss of lives and crops, destroying the fabric of our socio-economic structure. Due to these ongoing cyclical calamities, the standard of living remains low in disaster-prone areas.
SEDA has taken various initiatives to alleviate poverty in these regions—from reconstructing houses and providing medical care to funding small businesses and hosting skill development programs. We believe no human should live a life of poverty. Every human being has the right to shelter, clothing, food, fresh water, health, and education.
Our primary objective is to be at the forefront of providing these basic elements of life to the people of Bangladesh, regardless of creed, gender, or caste. We are active in developing water systems, providing emergency relief, and creating schools and clinics in remote areas.
We are deeply thankful to the NGO Affairs Bureau, Government of Bangladesh, and our funding partners for their continuous support. I also appreciate the tireless work of our team, sponsors, and volunteers who help SEDA make a real difference.
SEDA will continue its endeavor to be at the front line in building a poverty-free, self-sustaining society.
