Project Objective

To improve the living standards of underprivileged communities through educational support, housing assistance, livestock distribution, and winter relief for vulnerable families across different climate-affected and disadvantaged regions of Bangladesh.

Project Background

Many underprivileged families living in urban slums, char areas, and coastal island communities of Bangladesh continue to face severe socio-economic challenges. Poverty, lack of educational resources, inadequate housing, unemployment, and seasonal hardship particularly during winter significantly affect their quality of life.

To address these challenges, this project was implemented in several disadvantaged areas including Savar slums, Sirajganj char areas, Sundarbans island communities, and Bogura slums. The project focused on providing educational support to marginalized children, constructing houses for poor families, distributing cows to support sustainable livelihoods, and providing blankets to people affected by cold weather.

Areas of Implementation

The project was implemented in the following locations:

  • Slum areas of Savar
  • Char areas of Sirajganj
  • Island communities adjacent to the Sundarbans
  • Slum communities in Bogura
