A tree planting program-24 has been undertaken to reduce climate risks and build sustainable coasts.
On Wednesday 10 July 24 at 5 pm, half a hundred fruits and medicinal plants were planted in various educational institutions of Padmapukur Union of Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira.
Tree plantation program was organized by Socio Economic Development Alliance. Principal SM A Hannan of Patakhali Fazil Degree Madrasa, teachers GM Masum Billah, Abu Hanifa, volunteer Bayezid Hossain and others were present at this time.
SM A Hannan, Principal of Patakhali Fazil Degree Madrasa said, ‘Green nature contributes to our life safety. The world today is suffering from climate change due to the increase in surface temperature. Sea level is rising. Danger is approaching.
“The young generation should be encouraged in forestry and tree planting. If one tree is cut, everyone should be encouraged to plant at least three trees. Students will grow up loving trees. Schools should be filled with trees and flowers.
Education for the Climate Vulnerable Children, Nutrition Support and Shelter for the Families Bangladesh is a project implemented by Socio Economic Development Alliance-SEDA. The project funded by ABUNDANCE OF GOOD INC.-USA. The project aims to provide educational support for children,nutrition support and shelter for the families to underpreviliged people who live in the Climate Vulnerable area Under this project, SEDA has provided educational metarials, food and develop and repair vulnerable house to 100 beneficiaries at Shyamnagar, Satkhira in Bangladesh.
“Blanket, Sewing Machine & Animal” is an ongoing programme of Socio Economic Development Alliance-SEDA. In 2023, SEDA implemented “Blanket, Sewing Machine and Animal” Project, is a prime example of our commitment to this mission funded by Sukoon Project , USA. By providing blankets to 200 families in Dimla, Nilphamari during the harsh winter months. We also provided sewing machines to 05 families in Narsingdi, enabling them to become self-reliant and generate income through their own businesses. Additionally, we gave livestock animals (cows) to 04 families in the same area, allowing them to build sustainable livelihoods and break the cycle of poverty. At SEDA, we believe that by empowering individuals and families, we can create a more equitable and prosperous society for all.
