Construction a shelter for fire-displaced women

SEDA’s shelter project is underway across the country. Under this initiative, houses are constructed for individuals who have lost their homes due to various reasons.

Nargis is a resident of Kalanda Paschim Para village in the Bhanor union of Balia Dangi upazila in the Thakurgaon district. Her refuge was nothing more than a house, which was tragically consumed by fire one afternoon. Nothing could save the house except for the clothes she was wearing.

Having lost her only shelter, Nargis now lives among non-human lives under the open sky. She has found solace in the new homes provided by Shelter Project. The initiative is funded by Abundance of Good Inc, USA, and implemented by the Socio-Economic Development Alliance-SEDA.”
