Message from the Chairman
Socio Economic Development Alliance (SEDA), a not for profit registered charity organization was established with the vision to help create a poverty free, self sustaining Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is prone to yearly natural disasters such as floods, tidal surges, tsunamis, cyclones, river erosion, droughts, fires and many others. These calamities results in loss of lives, crops, livestock and overall destroys the fabric of the socio-economic structure of the region.
Due to the ongoing cyclical calamities the standard of living is quite low in these disaster prone areas. SEDA took various initiatives to alleviate the people of these regions from poverty. These actions include reconstruction of houses; provide medical care; education; funding of small businesses; host skill development programs and many more.
SEDA believes no human should live a life of poverty. Every human being has the right to shelter, clothing, food, fresh water, health and education. That is why SEDAs primary objective is to be at the forefront in providing these basic elements of life to the people of Bangladesh regardless of their creed, gender and caste.
With this goal in mind SEDA would like to play an active role in various programs such as relief programs in disaster and flood affected areas by developing water and sewerage systems. Provide emergency relief operations and aide in infrastructure development. Create schools and clinics in remote areas of Bangladesh. Finance small businesses and programs for talented and capable individuals in need.
We are thankful to NGO Affairs Bureau, Government of Bangladesh, and our development and funding partners for their continuous support. I also appreciate the hard work of our team, sponsors, volunteers and well-wishers who remain by SEDA and help us make the difference.
SEDA will continue its endeavor to be at the front line in build a poverty free, self sustaining society.
