5. Project Objective

The objective of this project was to provide humanitarian support to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities through winter relief distribution and livelihood development initiatives.

The project aimed to:

  • Provide blankets to cold-affected people during winter
  • Support poor and marginal families with sewing machines for income generation
  • Distribute cows and goats to promote self-reliance and sustainable livelihoods

6. Project Background

Many poor and marginalized families face severe hardship during winter due to lack of adequate warm clothing and blankets. At the same time, limited income opportunities prevent vulnerable households from achieving economic stability.

To address these challenges, the project was designed to provide immediate humanitarian assistance as well as long-term livelihood support through productive asset distribution.

7. Activities Implemented

Under this project, the following activities were successfully implemented:

a) Winter Relief Distribution
Blankets were distributed among cold-affected vulnerable people to reduce winter suffering.

b) Sewing Machine Distribution
Sewing machines were provided to disadvantaged individuals, particularly women, to support self-employment and income-generating activities.

c) Animal Distribution
Cows and goats were distributed among poor and marginal households to create sustainable livelihood opportunities and improve household income.

9. Project Outcomes

The project achieved the following outcomes:

10. Compliance and Documentation Status

  • The audit report has been submitted and accepted by the NGO Affairs Bureau.

  • The certification from the local administration has been submitted.

11. Conclusion

The Blanket, Sewing Machine & Animal Distribution Project was successfully implemented with financial support from Sukoon Project, USA and executed by Socio Economic Development Alliance.

The project provided both immediate relief and long-term livelihood support to vulnerable communities. It contributed significantly to improving the socio-economic conditions of poor and marginal families and demonstrated the effectiveness of integrated humanitarian and livelihood interventions.

The successful completion of this initiative highlights the importance of continuing similar welfare and empowerment programs for disadvantaged populations.
