Project Objective
To improve the living conditions of underprivileged and vulnerable communities by ensuring access to safe drinking water, secure housing, sustainable livelihood opportunities, and emergency food support.
Project Background
Many low-income and vulnerable communities in Bangladesh continue to face serious challenges related to access to safe drinking water, inadequate housing, unemployment, and food insecurity. In climate-vulnerable and economically disadvantaged areas, these challenges often become more severe due to environmental stresses and limited access to basic services.
To address these pressing needs, this project was implemented to provide sustainable and humanitarian support through deep tube well installation, house construction, grocery shop establishment for income generation, and food distribution among poor families.
Activities Implemented
1. Deep Tube Well Installation
Deep tube wells were installed in water-scarce communities to ensure access to safe and clean drinking water, helping reduce water-related hardships and health risks.
2. House Construction for Poor Families
New houses were constructed and distributed among extremely poor families to provide safe and secure shelter.
3. Grocery Shop Support for Livelihood Development
Grocery shops were established for vulnerable families to create sustainable income-generating opportunities and support self-reliance.
4. Food Distribution Program
Food assistance was distributed among poor and distressed families to address immediate nutritional needs and provide humanitarian relief.
